January/February Catch Up

I have since visited the Irish Museum of Natural History and I think I can now say I have seen all the major museums in Dublin. I have to be a bit of a snob and say that I was not particularly impressed with the natural history museum because compared to the amazing life size dioramas in the one in New York and the scary fake lava in the one in New Mexico I found myself underwhelmed.

I have taken a step into further becoming a native. I completely missed the Golden Globes, the Superbowl and the Grammy's. I know I am a complete traitor. Due to the age of technology, however, I was able to see what I had missed online.

The Temple Bar Tradfest was on at the end of January I caught a few tunes here and there. Six Nations is back on which means it's time to hunker down and watch some rugby. Ireland lost their first match against Wales (I don't want to talk about it) and the second match was postponed due to the pitch being frozen in France. So far Ireland has managed to avoid the really freezing weather that the rest of Europe has recently been hit with.

I got a new sweet gig as a volunteer for the Jameson Dublin International Film Festival. I will be working in hospitality rubbing elbows with some celebs. Last week I was at the launch party and saw Stellan Skarsgard. The festival opens on Friday I should be very busy and I'm quite excited!

Alright, that's all for now. Be back soon! Happy Valentine's Day!
